Here is a letter from Paul to the church in Colosse and to us. The first part of the letter is a basic description of who Christ is and how Christ's being (existence) affects you and I. Here is a break down of the first chapter: Who is Jesus Christ? (See verses 15-20): He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. By Him all things were created- in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, all spiritual rulers, lords, powers and authorities. Everything was made through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the first born from the dead, that in everything He might be first (preeminent). All the fullness of God was pleased to dwell in Jesus, and through Christ all things where reconciled to Himself. For all things, whether on Earth or in Heaven Christ made peace by the blood of the cross. What has Jesus done for you? (see verses 12-13, 21-22)
